We are a highly professional, independent Shutter company based in Surbiton, offering a fantastic range of Interior Window Shutters and Wooden Blinds. Our ranges include MDF Window Shutters, Premium Basswood, Softwood and Hardwood Plantation Shutters as well as a complete range of Wooden and Fabric Blinds.
In addition to a fantastic range of Plantation Window Shutters, we also provide a superb, fully inclusive package for homeowners and landlords in search of professional door and window shutter installation services in and around the London and Surrey area. We are also able to supply and fit blinds throughout the neighbouring Home Counties.
Following on from your initial enquiry, using our easy online contact form or call-back service, a polite and friendly, fully experienced surveyor will visit you in the comfort of your home to carry-out a comprehensive survey, with no obligation on your part. Once we have measured your windows and doors, we will discuss the most suitable options for your home, covering each of the various shutter styles available, whilst showing you various panel samples and colour swatches and informing you about the most appropriate shutter configurations for your needs.
Riverside Shutters were the first Shutter Company to offer FREE temporary paper blinds to our valued customers. This is a service that we still offer today on all Master Bedrooms and Lounge applications.
Our commitment to customers extends through to our no-quibble, five year parts and labour warranty.
This guarantee of quality lasts much longer than those provided by most other Shutter Companies and is offered as a means of showing just how confident we are; not only our finished products, but also in the experience of our Shutter fitters.
When you use the services of Riverside Shutters, you can rest assured that your Internal Window Shutters will still look, and work great, many years after we fit them. Our extended warranty covers our full range of Wooden Plantation Window Shutters and Blinds.
Our Interior Shutter Options include a variety of wooden materials including our highly robust, best-selling ‘Lancaster’ MDF Plantation Window Shutters. We also offer a High-End Stirling Range.
Louvre size options include 47mm, 63mm, 76mm and 89mm. Each size louver has its own identity and will look great when fitted to windows of all sizes.
However, we always recommend the upper sized louvre (76mm or 89mm) for large windows and doors.
Whichever option you decide to go with, our Plantation Window Shutters will offer you complete Security and Privacy, keeping prying eyes at bay. Our Interior Shutters also provide light and breeze control – perfect for maintaining a comfortable living environment in the heat of summer and the cold months of winter.
Interior Plantation Window Shutters offer far more lighting and air-flow options than simple curtains whilst adding aesthetically pleasing light shades from multiple louver tilt options. Both light and air flow can be controlled by simple louver positioning which is easily achieved using a central or hidden tilt rod.
For example, with a full-height panel with mid-rail (split-level panels with louvers top and bottom), you can shut the lower louvers and keep the upper louvers open. This provides great looks, a generous amount of light and optimal air-flow and privacy. Also, you’ll be glad to know that getting your shutters installed involves minimal disruption in your home. We always arrive first thing in the morning and leave our customers with beautifully fitted Plantation Window Shutters by the afternoon. No fuss, no mess.
As with companies like John Lewis and B&Q, you can save a considerable amount of money when getting your plantation shutters or wooden window blinds fitted by doing it yourself. However, unless you have high-end DIY abilities and measuring skills, the installation process can be extremely complicated and even costly, which is why we always recommend our own fitting service. This will ensure that your Interior Window Shutters fit perfectly each and every time.
Most Window frames and reveals, even in new-builds, are not completely level, and therefore require a great deal of skill to measure. This is essential if you want your Window Shutters to fit perfectly so that all of the panels open and close smoothly.
So unless you’re highly proficient, or you have a local fitter in mind with the required experience in terms of fitting Internal Window Shutters, it’s always better to leave it to the professionals. Our fitting fee is always reasonable and included in the quote, with no hidden costs or extras.
